Lilium’s New 7-Seat Electric Jet Will Be Transporting Passengers Across Florida by 2024!
Lilium is set to upset the emerging electric taxi market with its new 7-seat electric jet. In 2020, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency approved the development of eVTOL aircrafts, of which the Lilium eVTOL had been in stealth development since 2018. During the unveiling of its latest vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, Daniel Wiegand, the company’s founder and CEO, said, “Our mission is to create a sustainable and affordable mode of high-speed travel and bring it to every city.” This is Lilium’s fourth generation of eVTOL aircraft and will be the primary aircraft in a network of 14 vertiports in Florida that could be operational in three years, with Orlando serving as its headquarters. Lilium is also in advanced talks with potential investors for a European network of ten vertiports.
