This Amazing Ice Block Lamp Produces Beautiful Diffused Lighting!

This thought-provoking ice block lamp is a desk lamp that uses the optical illusion of a light bulb frozen in a block of ice. Of course, its not a real block of ice otherwise we would have people being electrocuted all over the place. The block of ice is actually a piece of glass specially textured to look like a block of frozen water. Encased inside the cube is an E14 LED light bulb that emits light that is diffused through the ice block to create an amazing illumination. The ice block lamp is the creation of Harri Koskinen of Stockholm design house and is listed in MOMA’s collection of modern art dating back to the year 2000. The lamp measures 6.3” x 3.5” x 4” and is ideal for the home or office.
